First things first, I have a lot of critique about the game play especially about the battle system. I also have a lot of things to say about how the script could have been improved on and how the voice acting could have been a wee better and how the presentation of the game, including its music, could have been improved on.

Now that is out of the way, I am proud to announce that it is a fairly addictive game. Although I did put it down at some point because I was frustrated with the lack of gamer participation in the battles (as in, you sit back and watch as the AI takes over for you), the story is seamless and you'll be rushing through the chapters in no time at all.

I'm currently playing one of the three stories which takes place in the Lower World. I like the feel of how there are three different worlds on one earth. It gives it an appeal that hits straight home with fantasy writers such as myself.

I'm also quite impressed with how there is actually a balance between male and female characters. There are some really strong females and some weak ones but they play out just fine. Which should be big news, considering I'm a chauvinist pig (read as: I have been fully convinced that female characters are helplessly weak).

Moving on to the characters, I have favorites of course. So far in my playing the Lower World story, I am a huge fan of Hank and his wife Marianne, Jules, Quinn (of course, the main character) and Gon (the powerful but reluctant boyfriend, er, side kick), Keri (yes, her too), and of course Junka and Natalie. What should be more surprising is that I actually like some of them as canon (het) pairings. But I will not object to any Junka x Quinn or Junka x Jules, I swear.

So far, my gaming experience with Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos balances out my disappointment with Jeanne d'Arc. I still wish they had a mutant love child so I could, I don't know, enjoy a truly awesome game like Final Fantasy Tactics or Patapon. D:

On the life side of things: Have been finding more time on the weekends to spend with my grandmother. Have also learned how to drive a wheelchair. I also have found the time to draw and write more. So pretty much life is turning out just fine over here.
